Insurance Resume Example
The resume at a glance must reflect your goals in the insurance industry and the qualifications that support you. Insurance resumes require you to highlight the best features about your previous job experience and education that highlight and clinically analyse your performance. When it comes to job performance or education, showing a quantitative snapshot of how good your performance is in absolute terms (like achieving 20% increase in sales for the department) is the best possible way to show how efficient a performer you are. The first thing that you would mention would be education, where the highest degree should ideally be stated first. Then, while mentioning the skill-set, care should be taken to ensure that skills match the job profile and are relevant functionally. At the same time, additional qualifications (CWA, ICWAI, etc) should be highlighted as strengths. The job experience should start with the most recent job listed first, and then others subsequently. Begin with defining a basic role and job responsibilities within that role, and then adding achievements and awards during the course to add more to the job experience. The more quantitative results generated and mentioned, the more is the value added to the resume. Personal certifications and extra-curricular activities are what define your personality and the mention of those relevant to your role that shows an excellence in personality is important. The use of technical terms that pertain to the insurance industry throughout the resume lets the recruiter know that you understand the industry and the terms used. References from post-graduation education as well as your previous jobs add a lot of weight to the resume and improves the solidarity of the resume.
