Attorney Resume Example
An attorney's work in the field of legal procedure requires a high level of care to be taken into consideration with processes and documentation amidst the requisite skills needed to be an attorney. Hence, it is important that your own resume reflects the quality of your ability to document facts and highlight important events and achievements. As an applicant for an attorney role, the need for interpersonal and communication skills is high and must be given due importance and mention in the resume. Besides this, decision making skills and the ability to work under short timelines are critical to an attorney's job. When talking about educational qualifications, the latest degrees should be listed first and then earlier ones should be mentioned. Associated qualifications and licences that pertain to the job opening or may be important should be stated as well. Professional experience should highlight the achievements and recent work experience more, with first listing given to most recent work. The clear mention of facts and awards is important to add value to the resume. The references of a senior and well-renowned attorney that mention your work being commendable add clear strength to the resume. The knowledge of foreign languages is a good addition as well, showing diversity and knowledge which can come to use in special cases.
